Pantone has unveiled its Color of the Year for 2025: PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warm, rich brown hue reminiscent of chocolate and coffee. This comforting shade reflects a collective desire for simplicity and indulgence, aiming to bring a sense of harmony and balance to our surroundings.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, describes Mocha Mousse as “sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic,” capturing the essence of understated elegance. The selection process involves analyzing global trends across various industries, ensuring the chosen color resonates with current cultural sentiments.
To celebrate this selection, Pantone plans to illuminate landmarks worldwide, such as the London Eye, in Mocha Mousse. This initiative marks the 26th anniversary of the Color of the Year program, highlighting the significant influence of color in design and daily life.
